• To meet the health care needs of nearly 22,000 women

• To provide the best maternal health care in the region
  
  
• To serve those that would otherwise go without maternal
  and child care
  
  
• To provide critical care to nearly 400 infants per year
  with low births and other health complications
  
  
• To reduce health complications to both mothers and children
  
  
• To minister medical care to 2,000 women per year
  living in rural villages and scattered communities
  
  
• To serve as a referral hospital to United Nations Relief
  and Works Agency refugee camps, the Government sector and other health providers in the area
  
  
• To provide education and training for childbirth,
  hygiene, nutrition and childcare
